LG512C: BEGINNING READINGS IN NEW TESTAMENT GREEK (4 Units). Mathew Sousa.
DESCRIPTION: This course is the third quarter of Fuller’s introductory Greek sequence. Students will read Greek texts from across the New Testament, increasing their skills in reading and translating.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Having successfully completed this course, students will have demonstrated the ability (1) to translate from the Greek NT using appropriate tools; (2) to translate NT passages of varying authorship, difficulty levels, and genres; (3) to defend translation decisions; and (4) to explain the function of various noun, pronoun, adjective, and verb forms.
COURSE FORMAT: This course meets twice a week for two-hour sessions.

ASSIGNMENTS AND ASSESSMENT: Students are expected to attend each class session and to have completed the assignments prior to meeting. The course grade will be based on the following:
Homework and class participation (20% of final grade)
Weekly quizzes (25% of final grade)
Midterm (25% of final grade)
FINAL exam (30% of final grade).
PREREQUISITES: LG512 A & B or placement by examination.
RELATIONSHIP TO CURRICULUM: Meets the MDiv core requirement in Greek (GRK).
