DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to equip church leaders in developing
evangelistic strategies according to their distinctive ministerial contexts. It
seeks to emphasize the cell vision as a church growth multiplication strategy
to develop evangelism through conversion instead of by transfer. This seminar
will enable students with the necessary tools to establish the ministry of the
church based on cell groups. Therefore, the course will provide
biblical/theological basis for evangelism, principles, structures and systems
that are the base of the cell group system, as well as with the practical
principles for an effective transition and implementation of the cell vision.
We will also consider the incorporation of new converts into the cell church
system.
SIGNIFICANCE FOR LIFE AND MINISTRY: The accomplishment of the Great
Commission's main objective is to win souls and make disciples of all nations.
The task of the church has been and is to find a balance between both
responsibilities in order to provide an integral growth. The most effective way
to achieve this objective is to decentralize the ministry through integral
growth cell groups. This course will help each student to develop a
decentralize vision of ministry for an effective evangelism through cell
groups. In this way, we will accomplish our objective to win souls, make
disciples, and form leaders.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: (1) To introduce pastors and church leaders to the cell
vision ministry for church growth and multiplication; (2) to provide
biblical/theological basis for evangelism in the cell church; (3) To become
familiar with the different cell church models; (4) students will be able to
analyze and apply cell group models and evangelistic strategies adequate to his
or her own cultural context; (5) to know the principles for an effective
transition and implementation of the cell vision for the establishment and
multiplication of cell groups.
COURSE FORMAT: The class will be intensive in character. We will meet in three
blocks of two days each, for six hours every day on October 14 & 15,
November 11 & 12, and December 2 & 3. It will consist of conferences,
discussion, videos, and multimedia presentations.
