ST502: SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY 2: CHRISTOLOGY AND SOTERIOLOGY. (Taught in Korean).

DESPCRIPTION: This course is designed to provide a theological understanding
of Christian beliefs about the person and the work of Jesus Christ and the Holy
Spirit. The topics to be examined include atonement, salvation, election,
justification, and sanctification, which will be discussed as formulated from
the Reformed, ecumenical, and contextual perspectives.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students completing this course will have demonstrated (1)
a basic understanding of the topics in the traditional and the contemporary
formulations; (2) an ability to reflect theologically upon these topics; (3) an
acquaintance with the various socio-economic and cultural contexts, including
the Korean/Korean-American context; (4) skills towards developing one's own
theology in one's own context; (5) an appreciation of ecumenical and cultural
diversity.
RELEVANCE FOR MINISTRY: Students will be prepared to do ministry as they learn
to think theologically on the issues of faith and ministry in their own
tradition and other traditions.
COURSE FORMAT: The class will meet once a week in three-hour sessions for
lectures and discussions.
