CN547: ENRICHING THE KOREAN FAMILY (Taught in Korean). Yea Sun E. Kim.

DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to equip Korean church leaders to lead family life ministry programs. In this course, Korean churches will be analyzed in light of their need for and barriers to family ministry. Models of family ministry will be introduced. Special emphasis will be given to how to conduct premarital education programs and marriage education programs.

RELEVANCE FOR MINISTRY:
The first place Korean Christian families turn to for help with their serious and ever-increasing family problems is the church. However, the concept of family ministry is not fully introduced to Korean congregations, and Korean church leaders are not properly trained to prevent family problems. Therefore, it is imperative that Korean students preparing for church ministry be equipped with the ability to initiate preventive family ministry.
