FT550S: Practicum

DESCRIPTION:
Required for students who are
concurrently enrolled in practicum or practicum continuation in the program in
Arizona. Practicum supervision is intended to promote students' clinical
development through discussion of case review, clinical practice, and the
program's curriculum. Supervision will be provided by a marriage and family
therapist licensed and qualified to supervise in Arizona. (0 units, to be
registered concurrently with practicum. Phoenix campus students only)
COURSE
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1.
Students
will demonstrate conceptualization of practicum cases.
2.
Students
will gain knowledge in applied case conceptualization.
3.
Student
will develop personal awareness of their role as a MFT Trainee.
4.
Students
will develop skills in conducting MFT interventions.
5.
Students
will demonstrate the ability to discuss integration issues in clinical
practice.

COURSE FORMAT:
This
0 unit course will meet once a week. Classes will include case discussion and
demonstration. Attendance is required.

ASSIGNMENTS:
Submit
case presentations, as assigned, during the quarter.
PREREQUISITES:
Currently
enrolled in FT550 Practicum or FT555 Practicum Continuation.
