DESCRIPTION:

A global context requires leaders who understand reality beyond their respective national borders; accordingly, the formation and development of leadership must be reconceived. In this introductory course of the Master of Arts in Global Leadership, (student) leaders play a significant role in their respective educational process as they develop their own comprehensive learning plans for the entire degree program. Beyond individual learning, each leader experiences the benefits of both joining a diverse Christian community as well as enlisting in a like-minded group of practitioners in an online learning environment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have:

COURSE FORMAT:

The class will meet on the Internet using a 10-week lesson schedule aligned with Fuller’s academic calendar. Each week, students and the instructor will interact with course material through journaling, threaded discussions, and web-based research.

REQUIRED READING:

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Weekly threaded discussions, journaling, web research.

  2. Book reviews, a learning needs assessment, agreement on a common rule.

  3. A 5,000-word learning plan that guides the student’s entire educational program.

PREREQUISITES:

This course is only available to those who are accepted into the MA in Global Leadership.

RELATIONSHIP TO CURRICULUM:

A required course for the Cohort portion of the MA in Global Leadership. NO AUDITORS.

FINAL EXAMINATION: None.
