LD500: LEADERSHIP (4 Units: 160 hours. Scott Cormode.


DESCRIPTION: The course teaches students to engage organizational change in congregations and other organizations. The course will specifically address ways to engage the context within which the organization exists.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: The student will (1) demonstrate an understanding of intercultural Christian leadership, (2) will be able to reflect theologically about leadership, and (3) will be able to describe the implications of this learning for their own contexts.

COURSE FORMAT: This online course will include a once per week small gathering where students meet with the professor on BlueJeans. Students will engage in video assignments, group projects, and reading in addition to studying for the final exam.

This course will be conducted online on a ten-week schedule aligned with Fuller’s academic calendar. Students are required to interact with the material, with each other, and with the instructor regularly through online discussions, reading, and other assignments that promote active learning. Each student will, just before classes start, sign up for one of the following workgroups (NOTE: The times are spread out so as to accommodate students from any time zone in the world):

Group A: Tuesdays from 9-10am (Pacific time)

Group B: Tuesdays from 2-3pm (Pacific time)

Group C: Tuesdays from 7-8pm (Pacific time)

Group D: Thursdays from 6-7am (Pacific time)
