ST502: SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY 2: CHRISTOLOGY AND SOTERIOLOGY. (TAUGHT IN KOREAN).
Young-Chun (Lorenzo) Kim.

DESCRIPTION: This course serves as an introduction to the Christian beliefs concerning Christ, salvation, and the Holy Spirit. The major themes and formulations of these doctrines will be covered through exploration of biblical concepts, historical developments, and hermeneutical issues, both traditional and contemporary.

SIGNIFICANCE FOR LIFE AND MINISTRY: Being theologically informed on Christology, soteriology and pneumatology is essential for ministry. By thinking critically about the spectrum of beliefs on these doctrines, students are enabled to give informed and contextually sensitive guidance on related issues.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: After completing this course, students will be able to (1) demonstrate a foundational understanding of the main themes in Christology, Soteriology and Pneumatology; (2) reflect theologically upon these doctrines; (3) demonstrate familiarity with the various socio-economic and cultural contexts of these beliefs, including the Korean/Korean-American context; (4) develop one's own contextual theology in a basic manner.

COURSE FORMAT: The class will meet daily for two weeks for four hours a day for lecture and discussion.
